Rockford Police Investigating Three Shootings

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford Police are trying to figure out if the same person is behind two drive-by shootings.

Officers say one person was shot in the leg at the intersection of Sherman and Furman just after midnight on Saturday. The victim told police he was walking down the street when a car drove by and someone inside the car started shooting. The victim is expected to be okay.

That happened about five hours after another drive-by shooting in 1000 block of Andrews Street. Investigators say it was the same scenario. The victim was shot in the right side of the body. He'll also be okay.

Cops are also looking for the person they say started shooting into a crowd of people outside the Circle K Gas Station on East State early Saturday morning. Police say it happened just before two am. One person was hit in the arm, but should be okay.

Police haven't made any arrests in any of these incidents.
