UPDATE: A Rockford man has been sentenced for Attempted Residential Burglary.
31-year-old Jeremy Tyus of Rockford was sentenced to 13 years in prison after being found guilty after a jury trial in June.
Tyus has served 253 days in jail.
ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Just before 10:00 a.m. on December 12, Rockford Police responded to the 1600 block of Chelsea in regards to an attempted burglary.
The owner of the residence told police that a man had attempted to gain entry into his home by forcing the door open.
After an investigation, 30-year-old Jeremy Tyus of Rockford was arrested for Attempted Residential Burglary.
Tyus is currently on parole for Residential Burglary.
