Rockford Park District Working on Major Projects Depsite Drop in Revenue

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Rockford Park District is working on some big projects, all of which are highlighted in the 2013 Annual Report. Those projects include the Alpine Hills Adventure Park, Reclaiming First, and some playground upgrades.

The Park District is able to do all of those depsite a major drop in revenue. Last year the organization brought in about $39 million. That's compared to about $50.5 million in 2012. The Park District says bad weather is partly to blame for that decrease, along with a bond issue for capital projects in 2012.
