Rockford Park District Parks & Facilities Guide Now Available

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Rockford Park District's updated Parks & Facilities Guide is available free of charge at Park District Customer Service, facilities, and online at, in the Program Guide Books section.

The 48-page Guide is a handy 9 x 5-inch size designed to be a
multi-year reference, and contains information on Park District parks,
facilities, and museums, attractions, community centers, fee assistance for
children and people with disabilities, volunteer and employment
opportunities, the Park Watch program, parks and spray pads, recreation
paths, dog parks, and other specialty parks and activities. The Guide is a
reference for facility rental offerings, and also provides details on
obtaining permits for activities such as reserving an area of a park, picnic
shelters and areas, special use of a park, flying model airplanes, garden
plot rentals, and metal detecting.
