Rockford Nets 10 Arrests on St. Patrick's Day

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A collaboration of law enforcement agencies contributed to 10 arrests made on St. Patrick's Day in Rockford.

According to a press release, three people were arrested for DUI, three for operation of uninsured motor vehicle, three suspended drivers were arrested and one wanted on a warrant associated with driving under the influence of alcohol was arrested.

In addition to Rockford Police, state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners provided various outreach activities. Enforcement was emphasized at night.

This program was funded by federal traffic safety grants through the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety. It is also part of Illinois' "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click it or Ticket" campaigns
