Rockford Man's Car Stolen by Two Armed Suspects

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford Police are looking for two men who they say hijacked a car. It happened before 2:00 a.m. in the 700 block of Donaldson Street. The victim says he had given a ride to a friend along with another man. When the victim stopped his car, they pulled out guns and demanded money and his cell phone. The victim gave up his stuff and ran off. Police are still looking for a white 2004 Chevrolet Impala with the Illinois license plate R-9-9-9-2-4-0.


ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Rockford man is robbed at gun point and has his car stolen early Thursday morning.

The 42 year old victim says he gave a friend and another man a ride to a home in the 700 block of Donaldson Street around 2 a.m. When they arrived, the two passengers pulled guns on the victim and stole his money, cell phone, and his white Chevy Impala.

The victim told police the two men shot at him as he tried to run away.
The victim was not hit by any shots.

There are no suspects in custody. Police are looking for two black males in their late teens or early twenties. The Chevy Impala has not been recovered yet.
