ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Rockford man will spend nearly a decade in prison for leaving a man to die on the side of a busy Stateline road last summer.
Josh Peppers, 33, was sentenced to nine years for the death of Clinton Siens.
Siens was killed in September 2013 while he was walking on Sandy Hallow Road near 35th Street. Peppers left the scene, however, his mini van was spotted leaving the area.
Attorneys say he took a plea deal.
