Rockford Man Sentenced for Drug Crimes in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY (WIFR) -- Boone County State’s Attorney Michelle Courier announced that on May 2, 2013, Salvador Garcia-Martinez, 27, of Rockford was sentenced to 14 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for four counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance within 1000 Feet of a Senior Citizen Housing Complex.

Between January of 2012 and March of 2012, Garcia-Martinez made four deliveries of a substance containing cocaine to a confidential informant in the parking lot of the Pacemaker Shopping Center in Belvidere.
