UPDATE: After pleading guilty to burglary charges, Charles Johnston has been sentenced to spend 10 years behind bars.
The other charges against Johnston have been dismissed. He has already served 98 days.
LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- On April 26th, shortly after 2:30 p.m. the Loves Park Police Department responded to an alarm at a business in the 5500 block of N. 2nd Street. Upon arrival at the location, a Loves Park Parole officer witnessed a man, later identified as 54-year-old Charles Johnston of Rockford exiting the business.
As a result of the investigation, Johnston was charged with
-Possession of Burglary Tools
-Resisting or Obstructing an Officer
- Threatening a Public Official
Johnston is currently on parole for burglary.
