UPDATE: Rockford Man Pleads Guilty to Failing to Register as a Sex Offender

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Local church worker pleads guilty to not registering as a sex offender.

Gregory Gyllsdorff, 64, was sentenced on Thursday to 2.5 years of probation, as well as, 180 days in jail. Gyllsdorff was arrested in March 2014 and worked at the Grace Lutheran Church in Loves Park.



LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- A Rockford man has been arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.

On March 14, 2014 Loves Park Police were notified that a registered sex offender, 62-year-old Gregory Gyllsdorff was employed at a local church.

After an investigation, detectives from the Loves Park Police Department met with the Winnebago County State's Attorney and authorized a charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender (class 3 felony).

Gyllsdorf was located on March 19th and taken into custody. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
