Rockford Man Arrested for Allegedly Delivering Cocaine

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Rockford man has been arrested for allegedly delivering cocaine.

Rockford police say they received information that 23-year-old Jeffrey Whitaker was involved with selling drugs at various places in Rockford.

After an investigation, officers say they found a small amount of crack cocaine, cash, and other items associated with drug trafficking. Whitaker, who is currently on probation from a prior drug arrest, was arrested and taken to the Winnebago County Jail. Whitaker was charged with Possession with Intent to deliver less than 1 gram of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church.
