ROCKFORD (AP) -- Relatives and friends say they're remembering four family members, that include two children, who died in a house fire almost a year ago.

The blaze killed 61-year-old Sharon Cashatt, her 21-year-old son Douglas Cashatt and her grandchildren, 10-month-old Isabella Gonzalez and 13-year-old Dominick Cashatt in early January.

All four were found dead January 7 after a fire sparked by an overloaded outlet. The fire was fueled by a nearby Christmas tree.

Family member, Patrick Cashatt says his family is trying to move on after the fire that killed his mother, brother, niece and nephew.

A memorial scholarship fund at Rockford's Thurgood Marshall School has collected about $4,000 in memory of Dominick who attended school there.
