ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Midwest Living recently gave Rockford props for its growing foodie scene. And we could soon catch a quick bite curb-side.
Rockford City Council Members approved a new food truck ordinance. So once trucks pass a health inspection they can provide the goods along State Street. But it's not just food. Vendors can sell jewelry and handbags. The ordinance is limited to 18 permits.
Vendors can start applying for a city permit next week. They'll also need a food and beverage permit from Winnebago County.
