ROCHELLE (WIFR) -- He may not have to worry about an election for another year or so, but Congressman Adam Kinzinger is still making the rounds in the Stateline.
Today, the 16th District Congressman stopped by the Rochelle High School. Kinzinger tells us he’s been making a point of stopping by schools in his congressional district over the past few months. The goal is to get a better idea of some of the issues that parents, students, and teachers are facing, should education reform become a priority in Washington.
"The high school and frankly, the education system is in many cases an anchor point for the community so to be able to come out and get to see it, talk to the kids, talk to the teachers is very important,” said Kinzinger.
Kinzinger tells us he was impressed by Rochelle’s state of the art new facility.
