Remedies Receives Recycled Ride

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Thanks to a new set of wheels, a Rockford non-profit will be able to fulfill its mission of helping adults and children stuck in a domestic violence situation.

Remedies received the keys to a refurbished Toyota Highlander on Thursday, it's part of the Recycled Rides Program. All State Insurance and Sterling Auto Body Center fixed up the SUV for the organization, which has been without transportation since it lost its old van in an accident two months ago. Remedies president says this will allow them to get back to work.

Over the last six years the Recycled Rides Program has donated more than 160 vehicles across the country.
