Rally Held in Rockford Against Rauner

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- On Tuesday Gubernatorial Candidate Bruce Rauner spent the day in the Stateline talking to supporters, but on Wednesday the Anti-Rauner crowd held a rally against the businessman turned politician.

Former employees at Essex in Rockford and Sensata in Freeport. Took part in what they called a rally against Rauner's outsourcing. Workers at the former Freeport plant had their jobs outsourced to China and that turned into a national story because then Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney used to run the firm that oversaw the outsourcing. Former Sensata employee Tom Gaulrapp says Rauner and Romney both worked for Bain Capital in the late 70's and he believes Rauner has a long history of killing jobs through outsourcing.

"Everything they do is is for the bottom line is for profits. and whether they have to dump on a community and destroy the dream of middle class people they don't care," Gaulrapp said.
