ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning on the 1000 block of South Pierpont, six area fire departments responded to an attic fire in the Quick Mart.
When firefighters arrived flames were billowing out of the back of the building. After several minutes trying to gain access into the building firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
Cause of the fire is not yet known. Firefighters were still on scene as of 6 a.m.
Estimated cost of damage is not yet known.
