Protesters Rally Against Puppy Mills

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Half a dozen protesters rallied outside the Boone County Courthouse this morning to protest a local dog breeder, Lettier Kennel.

Angels 4 Animals is a local animal support group. The activists chose the courthouse because Boone County Breeder, Kimber Lettier was there for a criminal hearing on charges of aggravated battery of an animal control officer. Her animal facility is in Caledonia and has been the focal point of claims by the group of allegedly mistreating animals. There have been no charges for any kind of animal abuse. Lettier had no comment when leaving the courthouse.

Angels 4 Animals plans to take its views on limiting breeding and selling domestic animals to the March 19th Boone County Board Meeting.
