2,200 Workers Hired Temporarily

BYRON (WIFR) -- Byron's nuclear power plant made quite the economic impact of its own over the past few weeks. 2,200 temporary workers were taken on to refuel unit one and perform a number of other plant improvements. They finished this afternoon but for the past month, they've been using Stateline hotels and restaurants. Local economists say that can add up for our economy.
