Police Looking for Serial Burglars

STATELINE (WIFR) -- Police are on the lookout for two serial burglars who have broken into more than five Stateline homes in the last month and 23 News has exclusive surveillance video of them at a local Wal-Mart.

Police say the suspects are two white men between the ages of 20 and 25. They drive a tan SUV and they are breaking into homes at night stealing people's purses and then using their credit cards at Wal-Mart the next day.

As you can see in this surveillance video, the men head to various Wal-Mart locations with the stolen credit cards, sometimes even buying diapers.
The last time the burglars broke into a house was January 8th. They've hit up homes in Roscoe, DeKalb County, Winnebago, Rockton and Boone county. Most of the break-ins happen between midnight and 7 in the morning, when people are still sleeping.

Police say if you have any idea who these guys are, please call Roscoe police or Crimestoppers. Police say sometimes they still have gloves on when they go to Wal-Mart and they wear hats and hoodies to cover themselves.
Police say Wal-Mart is one of the easiest places to use a stolen credit card because of the card swipe machines they use and they don't check signatures. These guys are also going down to the shell station on Meridian to check to see if the credit cards still work because that station doesn't require a zip code or anything to verify that you're the card owner.
