Police: Janesville Driver Pointed Gun at Other Driver

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Madison police say a Janesville man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a loaded gun at another driver.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon on the Beltline.

A 19-year-old driver told police he was merging when a passenger in a pickup threw a handful of change at him through his open window.

Police say the 19-year-old followed the truck. WISC-TV reports when he got next to the truck he could see the driver was pointing a weapon at him.

Officers arrested the 42-year-old driver and his passenger, a 51-year-old woman, also of Janesville, after they found a loaded handgun inside the truck. The woman also had a knife in her handbag.

The woman denied throwing coins at the other driver, and told police the 19-year-old had actually cut them off.
