Police Give Us Safety Tips After the Maryland Mall Shooting

CHERRY VALLEY (WIFR)-- Cherry Valley police give us tips on what we can do to stay safe in case of a possible tragedy like the recent mall shooting.

The store where the shooting took place is now boarded up and a message saying it will be closed until further notice. Today we spoke with Cherry Valley Police who say just being aware of our surroundings may help us avoid this type of tragedy. Officers say we need to trust our instinct. a common red flag is someone setting down their bag and walking away according to police. They say to not let hesitation stop us from calling police.
