UPDATE: Driver Charged in Loves Park Crash

LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- The driver accused of causing a crash that sent a pickup truck smashing through a Loves Park business now faces charges.

Police say the driver of the SUV got tickets for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and for driving a vehicle with faulty equipment.

Police say around 4:00 pm Wednesday the SUV hit a pickup truck on Windsor and Clinton Roads sending the truck more than 500 feet down Windsor into Jack Mitchell Motors. No one inside the building was hurt.

The 67-year-old truck driver was taken to the hospital and is going to be ok.

It happened just after 4:00 pm Wednesday near Windsor Road and Clinton Drive. Police say the driver of the truck was rear ended by an SUV sending it through Jack Mitchell Motors.

One driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one inside the building was hurt.
