Pet Oxygen Masks Donated to Freeport Fire

FREEPORT (WIFR) -- Every year thousands of pets die in house fires, mostly because of smoke inhalation. But now one local fire department has a new life saving tool.

Friday morning Freeport firefighters were learning how to use new oxygen masks designed for animals. The department received five mask kits to put on its rescue squads.The donation was from Invisible Fence Brand and is part of the national effort called Project Breath.
