Local Painting Included in World Traveling Exhibit

OREGON (WIFR) -- A painting from an extensive Stateline art collection is going on a world tour. The painting’s usual home is the Oregon Public Library.

The portrait of Ralph Clarkson is by impressionist painter Joaquin Sorolla. It’s part of the Eagles Nest Art Collection in Oregon. Back in the early 1900’s a group of Artists, called the Eagles Nest Art Colony visited Oregon during the summer to paint.

The painting will be traveling for nearly two years to museums including the Meadows Museum in Dallas, Texas the San Diego Museum of Art and to Fundacion in Madrid Spain.
