Oregon Police Make Burglary Arrest

OREGON (WIFR) -- On October 23, officers with the Oregon Police Department discovered a break-in to the Blackhawk Storage Units located on S. 2nd Street.

A foot pursuit of the suspect ensued, ultimately resulting in the arrest of Adrian S. Hartness, age 24 of Dixon, for two counts of burglary.

Oregon officers conducted a search of an apartment in Oregon where they recovered a large amount of stolen property from previously reported burglaries in Oregon.

Hartness was transported to the Ogle County jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Chief DeHaan reminds citizens who use rented storage facilities to use high security padlocks, which makes it more difficult for illegal entry into a unit.
