ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) – Two Beloit police officers have been cleared of any wrongdoing in a shooting earlier this month.

The Rock County District Attorney’s office says it’s clear they acted lawfully when shooting at 40-year-old Christopher Rutherford while fleeing from police.

Earlier this month, police say they were responding to a domestic violence incident in the 900 block of 10th street when Rutherford ran over 47-year-old Sheila Rosenbaum with his van. She later died from her injuries.
