“I’ve been to the property several times to review the plans for the renovation project. The Cliffbreakers team and I are eager to share these plans with the community and showcase the fresh, modern standard of hospitality space in Rockford,” said John Lee with Hospitality Furnishing and Design Inc., who has been advising the Cliffbreakers team on the renovation project.
Known as the “Jewel of Rockford,” Cliffbreakers has been a long-time partner of the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau in promoting the Rockford area as an ideal place for meetings and conferences, consistently serving as an important piece of the community.
“It’s good for Rockford and our local market to have a healthy hospitality business. This is great news for our community,” said John Groh, President/CEO at the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
"We are delighted that Cliffbreakers has positive news. They are an important asset to our community and a good partner to The Salvation Army," said Tara Blazer, Fund Development Director for The Salvation Army of Winnebago County.
“Having Cliffbreakers back on track is excellent for Rockford and I have elevated confidence in our economy with their plans to start hiring,” said Senator Dave Syverson. “Our office has watched this closely and are pleased with this very positive news,” Syverson continued.
ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A local hotel is trying to bring in more people and will soon get some help from an outside agency.
We've learned Crescent Hotels and Resorts, a Virginia based company, has been hired to run Cliffbreakers. Representatives arrived in Rockford late last week. They'll spend the next three months figuring out what needs to be done to improve Cliffbreakers' brand and most importantly how much it will cost. We're told the owner is working with an investment firm to make the changes.
