ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A popular Italian eatery that's been serving hungry diners in Rockford for more than 30 years finds a new building to call home.
Employees at Villa di Roma say they'll be moving from their current location on Harrison Avenue to the former Morning Glory restaurant on South Alpine Road. Villa di Roma is still open; employees say the new space still needs renovation so a moving date hasn't been set. The state and city bought the current location earlier this year for just over a million dollars. It will be torn down so crews can widen Harrison Avenue next year.
