UNDATED (WIFR) -- The next time you pay with a credit card, it could cost you more.
Retailers in 40 states can now charge up to 3 percent more on credit card purchases. It's the result of a settlement following a lawsuit against MasterCard, Visa, and others. Ten states including California and New York have laws banning the credit card fee.
