ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Bus rides in Rockford could get a little safer.
Crews will install new video surveillance cameras in 15 paratransit buses.
The rest of the mass transit fleet got the state of the art system earlier this year. A spokesperson says they use the footage at least once a week, whether it’s checking up on the driver or trying to figure out an injury claim. A federal grant paid for a large portion of the cost.
