SULLIVAN, Wis. (AP) -- The National Weather Service is warning of strong winds causing blowing and drifting snow in southeastern Wisconsin.
The weather service says south winds gusting up to 30 mph are causing blowing and drifting snow, especially on east-west roads.
At 7:30 p.m. Friday, Highway 12 between Pell Lake and Lake Geneva had areas of considerable blowing and drifting snow, with a few areas of near-zero visibility.
The weather service received similar reports in some areas of Rock, Dane and Jefferson counties.
A winter weather advisory is out for southeastern Wisconsin until 9 a.m. Saturday because of blowing snow.
