RUSSIA (WIFR) -- Earlier today, a meteor exploded over a small Russian town, injuring nearly 1,000 people.
Cameras throughout the area caught views of the meteor as it streaked across the sky and then shattered. Scientists say it was the size of a large bus and was traveling at least 33,000 miles per hour.
Strangely enough, NASA says that meteor is not connected to the asteroid that passed pretty close to Earth this afternoon.
