ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A 24 year old man is shot in his hand during a drive by shooting that happened sometime after midnight Wednesday.

Rockford police say the victim, along with his 17 and 15 year old brothers, were walking down the street after visiting another brother's home in Concord Commons when they were confronted by two men. The victim and his brothers eventually walked away from the confrontation but were later approached by a gold 4 door vehicle on Horace Ave. That's when the driver started shooting at them. The suspect car fled the scene.

The victim and his brothers ran away and made it to Green Street. The men say that's when they heard more shots fired at them. Police say the victims believe the two suspects had gotten out of the car and shot at them because they didn't see where the shots were coming from.

The men finally arrived at a home in the 400 block of s. Independence and that's when the victim realized he was shot in the hand. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police are looking for two men. The first suspect is described as having corn rows and wearing a blue shirt with baby blue pants. The second suspect is described as a light complected male.
