ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Just days before his murder trial, a Winnebago County man pleads guilty to murdering another man during a home invasion in 2010.

26-year-old Thomas Stuen will spend the next 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to first degree murder. Stuen shot and killed 29-year-old Eric Johnson during a home invasion on Weldon Road in 2010.

Stuen has to serve the full term and 3 years probation. The other suspect, Cory Richardson also took a plea deal last year for a 32-year sentence.
