UPDATE: 47-year-old Denzil Radabaugh has been sentenced to 14 years in the Department of Corrections, with 370 days credit and 3 years parole for residential burglary.
Radabaugh was accused of stealing a shop vac from a woman's home on April 3, 2012. Police believed Radabaugh to be a suspect in the crime and met with him on April 25, 2012. Radabaugh admitted to police that he stole the shop vac and sold it to a stranger on the street.
ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- 47-year-old Denzil Radabaugh has been found guilty of Residential Burglary.
Radabaugh was accused of stealing a shop vac from a woman's home on April 3, 2012. Police believed Radabaugh to be a suspect in the crime and met with him on April 25, 2012. Radabaugh admitted to police that he stole the shop vac and sold it to a stranger on the street.
Residential burglary has a sentencing range of 4-15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. However, based on Radabaugh's record he could face between 6-30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections without eligibility for probation.
Radabaugh's sentencing date has been scheduled for February 15, 2013.
