Man Found Guilty of 2012 Armed Robbery

WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WIFR) -- A jury has found 45-year-old Louis Gulley guilty of 4 counts of Armed Robbery.

The robbery happened on April 27, 2012 at the Shell gas station and McDonald's restaurant on Prairie Hill Road in South Beloit. Gulley robbed both the gas station and the McDonald's while armed with a gun and then locked all teh employees in a cooler after committing the robberies.

Armed robbery with a firearm has a sentencing range of 21-45 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, however due to Gulley's previous record he faces a mandatory natural life sentence. Sentencing has been set for December 6, 2013.
