ROCKFORD (WIFR) – It may not come as much of a surprise that the man who ran his truck into a housing complex should not have been driving at all.
It happened in the Fairgrounds Housing Complex early this afternoon. Police say the driver did not have a license, registration, or insurance. We are told when he hit the home, the refrigerator went flying and gas lines were severed. Fortunately, no one was hurt but the home is not safe to live in. The woman who lived there says she is having a hard time processing what happened.
“I’m hoping that we can get the ball rolling, because I have children that need to go to school. I’m in shock honestly, I don’t know what to say. It’s a scary experience," said Pricilla Flores.
She’s working with the Rockford Housing Authority to find a new place to live.
