ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A motorcyclist is dead after police say 22 year old Andrew Stratton crashed his bike into a car while riding over 100 miles per hour.
It happened after one p.m. Sunday afternoon on Sandy Hollow Road and 16th Street in Rockford. Investigators say Stratton of Beloit was going 60 miles per hour over the speed limit.
Stratton was wearing a helmet. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday afternoon, however, Winnebago County Coroner's Office indicates he died from severe head trauma.
