UPDATE: Stephenson County Bank Robbery Suspect Pleads Guilty

STEPHENSON COUNTY (WIFR) -- A Stephenson County bank robbery suspect says he did it.

Derrick Holmes, 23, plead guilty Friday to holding up the Kent Bank on Fairview Road in September 2013.

He was arrested weeks later in Nashville, Tennessee when police found him trespassing on private property and sitting in a window with his guitar.

Sentencing for Holmes is set for May 2, 2014.

STEPHENSON COUNTY (WIFR) -- The suspect in a Stephenson County Bank Robbery has been nabbed in Tennessee.

Police say 23-year-old Derrick Holmes robbed Kent Bank on Fairview Road in late September and then rode off on a motorcycle.

The Sheriff’s Department and the FBI were able to put out a warrant pretty quickly, thanks to a bunch of tips they got through Crime Stoppers.

Holmes was arrested in Nashville over the weekend. Police found him sitting in a window with his guitar, trespassing on private property.

STEPHENSON COUNTY (WIFR) -- Police in Stephenson County are looking for the man accused of robbing a bank on Thursday.

Police say the man was wearing a blue mask when he entered the Kent Bank on Fairview Road. Deputies say he showed a handgun, demanded money and made away on a motorcycle believed to be a black Harley Davidson Sportster Motorcycle 2004 or newer. Police have released a surveillance photo from the bank.
