ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A homeless man who is accused of trying to rob a woman Sunday night outside the Walgreens on North Main is in police custody.
Rockford Police say 20-year-old Jordan Filer pulled a knife on the woman in the parking lot and demanded her purse. She refused to give it up, when Filer allegedly stabbed her in the side. The wound is not considered life threatening.
Filer was arrested in the same area stabbing occurred and he is charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and Battery with a Knife.
