Man Arrested In Connection to Several Armed Robberies

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Police arrest a man in connection to multiple armed robberies to businesses in northwest Rockford.

Police say around 9:15 p.m. they were investigating the robberies that happened around Main Street and North Rockton Avenue when they observed 32 year old Lonell Taylor acting suspiciously.

Taylor was arrested for allegedly being connected to those robberies, specifically for a robbery to the Subway Shop in the 3000 block of North Rockton Avenue.

Taylor has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and resisting arrest.

The investigation is ongoing.
