CHERRY VALLEY (WIFR) -- If you think the weather is a little too hot to handle this weekend, one local attraction has got you covered.
Magic Waters officially opened its gates Saturday for the 2014 season.
Within the first hour, hundreds of people poured in and got to splash around and zip down the slides.
The park's staff could not be happier with the early turnout and the fortunate Memorial Day Weekend weather.
"The weather is absolutely gorgeous today," said Magic Waters Director Zack McIntyre. "It is the perfect summer day out here at the park. There's hardly a cloud in the sky, the sun is out, and it's warm. Guests are starting to roll in early this morning. We've probably welcomed close to 500 people within the first hour alone."
The water park remains open through Monday and will be open May 31st and June 1st before opening for the summer on June 7th.
