CHERRY VALLEY (WIFR) -- With the temperatures rising, some of us are getting the itch to hit the pool. And starting tomorrow, we can take a dip at one of the Stateline's coolest attractions.
Lifeguards go through dozens of hours of training before hitting the water park. It's open tomorrow through Monday. This year, the water park introduces new shading for the loungers and the staff is thinking positive for this Memorial Day weekend.
"Opening weekend is huge, it sets the tone for the summer," says Zack McIntyre, Magic Waters director. "With the weather being nice this year, I know in the past Memorial Day has been hit or miss with us in our climate and where we're located, so to see the forecast in the mid 70s to upper 80s at some point, hopefully it will be a huge weekend for us."
Magic Waters will also be open May 31 and June 1 before opening up on a regular basis beginning June 7.
