LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- Firefighters have put out a mulch fire in Loves Park.
The Loves Park Fire Department was on the scene at Windsor and Elm for more than three and a half hours Monday night.
The fire department says they had to call ComEd out to the scene to shut the power to this portion of Elm Street off because they feared had the fire continued to grow it could have touched power lines creating an even bigger mess.
The fire took place in the back lot of Best Pallet Co. which according to the company's website is a firewood supplier. The fire did spread in the lot but there doesn't seem to be any damage to any area homes or other businesses.
Loves park Fire Chief Phil Foley says there's no idea as to how much damage the fire caused. No one was hurt.
