Lou Ness Shares Story of Walk to Washington D.C.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- You'll probably remember Pastor Lou Ness from Shelter Care Ministries.

We've told you before about her 930 mile journey to Washington D.C. She's been back for about a month and a half now and is sharing what she learned with the rest of us. She spoke today at Just Goods Fair Trade Market Gallery. Ness says during the 81 day walk, there were days she wanted to stop, but then remembered her mission which is to help the poor and homeless.

Once she arrived at our Nation’s Capital, Ness talked with lawmakers about ways they can help end poverty in our country.
