ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Many in Rockford this weekend are looking into remodeling or building new homes.

For the first time in 10 years, the Home Builders Association of the Greater Rockford area held its Annual Home Show at Lonnie's Stone Crafters.
Ten local home builders are on hand to show off their floor plans, along with sub contractors and suppliers for those who would rather just fix up their house. Organizers say they decided this is the perfect time to bring back the show because there's now pent up demand in the market as it's bouncing back from the recession.

"Your money stays in our local economy. Our businessman live here, they work here. They employee people who live here and work here, and the money ripples through our local economy," says Dennis Sweeney with the Home Builders Association of the Greater Rockford.

The show runs again on Sunday from 11am-5pm at Lonnie's Stonecrafters.
