ILLINOIS (WIFR) – The case of two young patients waiting for lung transplants at the Children’s hospital of Philadelphia has many experts debating organ donation in the United States.
1,700 people are on waiting lists in the U.S. including about 30 kids under the age of 11.
A big reason is the lack of lungs available. Last year, there were just 20 lung donors under the age of 12 and about 1,700 donors for adults.
