Local Vision TV Signing Off

ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) -- Local Vision TV.com will cease operations on September 30, 2013. A challenging economy has proven too difficult to sustain the start-up business. On October 1, 2010, Tony Huml launched Rock County’s only online television network. On October 21, 2010, Local Vision TV won the first of Rock County 5.0’s “Accelerate Your Business Plan” contest. In 2011, the Janesville Police Department presented Local Vision TV with the Law Enforcement Service Award for Business.

In January of 2013, Tony Huml was named Forward Janesville’s Entrepreneur of the Year. Local Vision TV was also honored in May of this year at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Awards Banquet with a first place for Best Multimedia Ad and a third place for New Media~ Election Coverage of 2012. The 2012 Election brought a whirlwind of activity for Local Vision TV. Huml’s production of “Softball with Paul Ryan” was shared on local networks, national networks, CNN and more.

In August of 2012, Local Vision TV welcomed Rock County’s most talented and respected news anchors, Stan and Rose Stricker. The daily news program began with Stan September 4, 2012, and when Stan returned to WCLO/WJVL, Rose took over with her own unique spin on her daily show. Local Vision TV partnered with Lite 107.3 WSJY providing their morning news and with FOX 39 in Rockford providing their nightly Rock County Report.

Local Vision TV’s greatest accomplishments come as a result of incredible clients, partners and community cheerleaders. Without the amazing support, Local Vision TV would not have existed. Tony Huml, Laurie Huml Eckert, Joe Jimenez, Rose Stricker and Lisa Huml would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, and we would like to remind you all to “Seize the Day!”
