ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Dozens of kids will be ready for school thanks to a very generous day care provider.
More than 150 kids received new backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and pens at the Back-to-School Bash at Dahlquist Park. Daycare provider Latricia Smith organizes the event every year to make sure our kids put their best foot forward when they head back to school.
The bash is also an end of summer party. Kids could play in a bounce house, listen to music, and grab some food.
"It feels good to get everybody from the community out on a positive note. It's a positive day and everyone is having fun, so it feels pretty good," Smith said.
This was the second year Smith has hosted the Back-to-School Bash.
